YOUR HOMETOWN DENTIST
Dr. Marisa Tolzin DDS
Dr. Marisa Tolzin, DDS, is about as hometown as it gets: she grew up in Sycamore, graduated from Sycamore High School, and spent her college summers working as an assistant in this very practice. After earning her dental degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry, she came home and joined Sycamore Dentistree in 2018. Today she cares for many of the same families she grew up alongside, with a focus on restorative, cosmetic, and pediatric dentistry — and a special talent for putting kids at ease.
“I grew up here, so my patients aren’t just patients — they’re neighbors, teachers, old classmates, and friends. Caring for this community’s smiles is honestly a dream come true.”

“The best part of being a hometown dentist? Watching the kids in my chair grow up smiling.”
Dr. Tolzin’s path to dentistry started with a love of science — she earned her BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois — and grew through those summers assisting chairside. She stays sharp through active membership in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Fox River Valley Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
From Sycamore High To Marquette
Dr. Tolzin earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry after completing her BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois. But her dental education really began earlier — working summers as an assistant right here at the practice, learning chairside the same care she provides today. She continues her training every year with a focus on digital dentistry, 3D imaging, and intraoral scanning.
